I've upgraded one of my clients to ASA 9.0.1.1751 running on
Linux. Looking in my server logfile I have dozens of these
messages every day.

Connection terminated abnormally; client socket shut down
I. 10/11 16:19:57. Disconnected TCPIP client's AppInfo:
HOST=CITRIX1;OS=Windows 2000 Build 2195 Service Pack
3;PID=0xfbc;THREAD=0x1130;EXE=D:\MYFOLDERl\theexe.exe;
VERSION=9.0.1.1751;
API=ODBC;TIMEZONEADJUSTMENT=-300

Has anyone else seen this? There's almost as many of these
from lots of the clients as there is Start/Finish
checkpoint.

Thanks
Eric

This indicates that the client connection (i.e. the application
D:\myfolder1\theexe.exe) terminated abnormally. The server recognizes
that there is no longer a client on the other end of the TCPIP
connection so it cleans up the socket.

I would start by looking into why the client app is closing the database
connection (unexpected call to close(), database connection variable
goes out of scope, application crashes, etc...)

Hope this helps,

Thanks for the reply. I'll get the developers to start
looking at this.
