I installed the Manage Anywhere console on my desktop computer and when I
try to open a package file I get the following error:

Unable to open package (path\path\filename.pkg) Package is not open, the
package must be open to perform this operation.

Opening packages works fine from the actual server. Any ideas why I can't
open them from my desktop?

Thanks.

Hi Steven,
I expect you've already checked this, but can you double check that the
path is correct from the context of your desktop machine? The Package Editor
is opening the package directly, not through the server, so if the path
specified isn't visible from the context of your desktop machine then that
would explain the error.

Have you shared the Archive directory on the Primary Command Server (PCS)?
If you are trying to open a pre-existing package that resides on the PCS you
will need to share this folder. If the folder is shared, can you map a
drive to this directory from the machine where you've installed the Remote
Admin Console?
