Hi there,

We are getting a "Wrong number of stored procedure parameters" error from
time to time. Some of the stored procedures returns a result set and some
other ones execute updates and deletes. The problem is not consistent. In
some cases the stored procedures get executed with no errors returned
whatsoever. We are using ASA 9.0.0.1108 and the ASA .NET provider
(ASAPROV).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Where are you seeing this error message?

It sounds like some of your client code is calling a stored procedure
but it is not passing the right number and/or type of parameters (as the
message indicates).

You might try enabling request-level logging on your engine and capture
the info to a log file. Then you can manually check each of the calls
to stored procedures to verify that this is indeed the problem.

In the ASA 9.0.1 online docs, see:

ASA SQL User's Guide
Monitoring and Improving Performance
Performance analysis tools
- Request-level logging

Hope this helps,
