It seems that when you use the ASA9 .Net Data Provider in Visual Studio .Net
you have to manually code almost every thing. Why do the ASA objects not
have any of the component wizards and/or property editor capabilities of
some of the other objects? The odbc and OLEdb data adapters create
connections and generate datasets. They also pull in the database schema to
give you access to table and column info. The asaDataAdapter has a
TableMapping property but it doesn't ever go get the db schema.

Will similar capabilities ever be added to the ASA .Net objects?

R Bullock...

Rodney,

Have you tried the new 9.0.2 release yet? We've added a few wizards to our
ADO.NET data provider. Give this a try, and if you have any more feedback,
please post it to the sybase.public.sqlanywhere.product_futures_discussion
newsgroup -- we'd love to hear it!

- Alex.
