I don't know - but if it works with regular ASE then it will work with ASE
Express (as long as it doesn't require Java in the DB, or any other
add-on features of ASE)

It is unlikely that SAP Business One will work with the EXPRESS edition
of ASE due to the restrictions on this
evaluation/development/demo/hodgepodge version.

SAP Business One dbms requirements will nicely fit in the regular
enterprise version of ASE.

Well, I guess it'll work fine on the Express Edition as long as the whol;e
thing fits within those limits of 5Gb database size, 2Gb memory and 1 CPU...
