In my attempt to install ADAC using the exe...

Path Chosen for install was "D:\Delphi\Delphi AddIns\ADS7.1\ADAC"

Install error: The folder path "?" contains an invalid character

While it proceeds to install, I haven't a clue where it resides.
(well, probably a clue -- extended systems on the C drive.

Certainly not where I selected it to go....

Jim

Hi Jim,

You have found a bug in Visual Studio Installer (VSI), the program we
currently use to build our MSI installs. VSI currently cannot handle any
path with two spaces in a row. I will report this bug to Microsoft, but I
am not sure what type of time frame they will have on fixing it. In the
near term you will need to install to a path without double spaces.

Sorry for the Inconvenience,

Lance Schmidt

ya that is really my bug, as I set the folder originally with 2 spaces
by accident. Stuck with it for now, but thanks for looking into it.

btw, great job on the component.

I have a great deal to learn about net programming and Asp.net, which is
where I would like to take it.

Hopefully Lance, we won't be the lone wolves in the forum.

I can't even ask any questions because I am too clueless to figure what
to ask. I set up a simple data asp.net application with advantage, and
I got the application to connect ok, filling the rows of the grid with
data following the borland help recommendations, but I was unable to get
paging to work. (the web page with grid had 10 rows, couldn't get it to
advance to the next 10 records.

So I will have to evolve with this... not quite as simple as adstables
dbgrids, and dbnavigators in the vcl.
