Dear all,

I am developing application to install Adaptive Server Anywhere in our
client machine. I am installing the engine and database by copying the
required files. I can start the database server from my visual basic
application using command line arguments. But I can't trap the error which
is giving by ASA from VB. errors like same server running already. Database
file not found etc..

can any one help me out in this issue. with sample Visual Basic code.

Thanks & Regards

Balaji

A TRY...CATCH block should be able to get that information. See
http://MSDN.Microsoft.com for examples. See
http://www.sybase.com/content/1017429/ADODataAccess.pdf for ADO
connectivity.

BTW
There is no need to post to more than one group. If you are unsure which
group to use, post to one that seems most likely and the readers will
redirect you if there is a more appropriate forum.
