Help!!!

I´m testing the DataWindow .Net evaluation version!

When I print portrait report all goes fine but when printing datawindow.net
reports in landscape format
it just prints the footer and nothing else is printed on the other sections
of the report!!!

Does any one knows what is happening or how to fix this??

regards

Can you provide more information about how you are doing this? Are you
setting the paper orientation to landscape either in DataWindow
Designer or programmatically?

<DW Control Name>.Modify("DataWindow.Print.Orientation= '<0 - default,
1 - Landscape, 2 - Portrait>'")

What kind of DataWindow are you trying to print?

Thanks for the prompt response!!

We are testing the software "dataWindow .Net 1.0 - download from the
net" for a bunch of finance reports that requires landscape printing

So in the DataWindow Designer 1.0 - we did setup the report for printing
landscape!! < 1 - Landscape>

The test was done directly on the designer - not programaticaly!

It printed the footer but not the report itself!!

When choosing to print Potrait it all worked well <2 - Portrait>!!

Just a simple test acessing a database, developed directly using the
downloaded version of dataWindow .Net

Operating System: we tried both under Windows 2000 Professional English /
Windows XP Portuguese SP 2
It behaved the same under both operating systems!!

Is this a known issue or is there a patch for that ? Is this an issue for
the evaluation version?

I don't think this is a reported issue. I currently have a pre-Beta
build of version 1.5 installed and it prints in landscape mode just
fine. One thing you can try is in the Designer, click on the preview
panel and then select the File\Print Preview menu option. Does it
display properly (you should see the same report but with a blue line
around the margins)? If so then it might be an issue with the print
driver.

You could also select the File\Save Rows As menu option and select
Powersoft Report Format (PSR). Then email the report to me at
dfish@no_spam_sybase.com (remove the no_spam_ text). I can then test
it out in my environment and let you know what I find out.
