Hello, I have Manage Anywhere 5.2.1543.0 and when try to
install the mapalm.prc and his related pdb, the palm had a
reset. I note that with PalmOS 4.x this doesnot happend. I
searched for new prcs, but nothing appear to exist. Anyone
knows if PalmOS 5 is supported or there any workaround for
that case?

Thanks in advance,
Felipe

Hello Felipe,

Manage Anywhere's datasheets have indicated that we actually only support
Palm OS 3.x, not anything later.

http://www.ianywhere.com/datasheets/manage_anywhere.html

If you are looking for a device management solution, you might want to take
a long look at our Afaria solution. For details please refer to

http://www.xcellenet.com/

Regards

Just wondering... will Manage Anywhere Studio be phased out in preference to
Afaria? Or do they serve 2 completely different purposes? We're in the
process of "looking" right now.

Hi Becky,
Afaria and Manage Anywhere do provide similar functionality. While
Manage Anywhere is still supported, I would recommend that you look at
Afaria first for any new implementations.

What percentage of your Palm OS devices are OS 3.x versus OS 4.x versus OS
5.x?

Just curious.
