How do I catch specific Sybase.DataWindow.DbErrorException
in my code I spent lot of time debugging and later found out
that i had a spelling mistake in one of the columns in my
datawindow.net designer
i had two exception catch namely a
sybase.DataWindow.DbErrorException
and a second general exception catch below the
DbErrorException The sybase exp never fires only the second
general exception fires giving me a non descriptive invalid
cast expression error I know in PB one gets an invalid col
name error so how can I get this in dw.net

thanks in advance
This has been a very helful forum

That all depends on how much you are trying to do in your code within
a single statement. There is an InvalidColumnException that can be
thrown; however, if you do 'too much' in the scope of a single
statement, you may actually cause the equivalent of a null reference,
which could manifest as a cast exception.

Can you provide a code sample that illustrates what you are talking
about here and perhaps we can provide some comments on that?
