I just installed Delphi 2005. I was already using the Advantage .NET Data Provider with Delphi 8 for .NET, and that was working correctly. I added the entry for Advantage in the new BdpDataSources.xml by copying it from the existing BdpDataSources.xml for Delphi 8.
Now when I start Delphi 2005 I get the message:
There was an error reflecting type "Borland.Data.Advantage.AdpConnectionString".

Borland changed the BDP interface in D2005 and was less than prompt when
giving us the updated interface. Look for our updated BDP driver for
D2005 in the next few months, hopefully sooner if the update goes well.

Is there a solution yet for this problem, or is it still impossible to use
the Advantage BDP in Delphi 2005?
