We are making the first steps with the datawindow.net beta
1.5

There's a problem with formatting a column in a dropdown
datawindow.

I try to set a format for my dropdown datawindow column
(within an external datawindow). It's a datetime field and
the format should be 'mmm yy'.
Once I click the dropdown box to enlarge, all values are
shown in the default format mm/dd/yy (the custom format is
not considered).

The formatting works fine with normal datawindow.net 1.5
without dropdown.

Seen your comment but as long as this beta newsgroup does
not exist I have to use this group.
I'm really waiting for answerts as we are evaluating and we
try to find the best components for our needs.

So the format for both the dropdown column on the main datawindow AND
the format for the date in the secondary datawindow is the same? I
will try to get this reproduced today; however, based on your
description it sounds like a bug, in which case you should open a case
per the beta instructions.

Whether or not it's a bug or a configuration issue on your end
shouldn't be a deciding factor in your evaluation. If it is a bug, it
will be fixed by GA.
