Hi,

We were running our ASA database version 8.0.1.3118, even it seems to be
working fine till 8.0.2.4299, But when we upgraded our database to version
8.0.3.5144 its ODBC driver start giving problem. Application gives the
following error message and end up displaying blank pages:
SQLSTAT = 37000
[Sybase][ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere]Syntex error or access
voilation near '?' in ?[?]??????????????????????...

SQLSTATE = 42000
[Sybase][ODBC Driver][Adaptive Server Anywhere]Syntex error or access
voilation

Our applicaton written in PB5. Database is running on Windows 2000 Server.
After we replace dbodbc8.dll (C:\Program Files\Sybase\SQL Anywhere8\win32)
of old version it works fine. May we have some parmanent solution and reason
why this is happening.

Regards,

This is a bug in PB5 (and some other older Powersoft branded products) which
are not able to handle additional datatype support in the ODBC driver.
