Hello,
I have a feeling that this isn't possible but I thought I'd post it
anyway. I want to make
a control (custom visual object) on top of a window transparent to the
window. I've successfully
made a window transparent without a problem using some external function
calls (user32.dll).
Is this somehow possible in Powerbuilder?

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Eric;

You can only do transparency in the DataWindow object in PB currently.

Roy;

FYI .. I have now converted this run from PocketBuilder 2.0. This looks
cool on the PocketPC too!

Cool -- you should drop Eric a line, I'm sure he'll be pleased. Although
he's not a member of TeamSybase anymore, I believe he's heavy into
mobile development (or at least was, last I heard from him)

custom visual object is just a child window. Did you try the same approach:
"I've successfully made a window transparent without a problem using some
external function calls (user32.dll)."
?
