Setup: Windows 2003 Server, Office (Outlook only with all
options) 2000-SP2, Pylon Anywhere 5.5.4

Server where Pylon is installed is not member of domain
because the Pylon server is supposed to have multiple
Exchange connections profiles where the different Exchange
servers are in different domains.

Exchange server is 2003.

First problem:
When installing Pylon Anywhere I can not get pass the
"Exchange setup". I enten the global-catalog-server (have
tried both DNS name, Netbios name definied in LMHOSTS and
IP). But it will not accept my username. I enter the
username like this "domain\user" and I know the password is
correct.

If I do a "net use \\global-catalog-server /user:domain\user
pw" it works. But the setup-prosedure for Pylon Anywhere
will not accept it.

So I installed Pylon with Exchange and decided to define
them by hand using MMC console afterwards.

Second problem:
Pylon is up and running. I make an authentication source
using AD/LDAP connection. And I setup the correct (as I see
it) parameters for default Exchange connection. The users
are able to log on to the WEB using their name and password
(so I know that the authentication setup is correct) but the
connection to the Exchange server fail. No Exchange mailbox
found. For the Exchange profile we have tried to use IPs,
Netbios names, DNS names, GC-server ,Exchange server name,
etc.

So my questions is:
Can someone please give me any clues and hints on how to
configure the Pylon Anywhere server in an Exchange
environment when the server is not a part of the Domain ?

Thanks

Oystein:

Pylon Anywhere discussions now take place in
ianywhere.public.pylonanywhere.general.

For installing against Exchange, your Pylon Anywhere server should be in a
domain and that domain should have a full trust relationship with any other
domains that it will be communicating with (ie: where your Exchange servers
reside).
