I don't see any releases newer than 12.5.3 at
http://www.sybase.com/detail?id=1023895. However, it appears as if there
will be something newer (native encryption) and prior to ASE 15.0 according
to http://www.sybase.com/ase15beta/15featureplans. Can anyone shed some
light on this?

I believe that 12.5.4 is supposed to be released some time this spring.

What I've heard - and consider this tentative - is that column encryption will
be in a release called "12.5.3a" this spring, and that 12.5.3a will be an
offshoot
of the 12.5.x codeline for people who really want/need the encrypted columns
feature. 12.5.4 is tentatively scheduled for Decemberish.

And that 12.5 Release schedule page hasn't been updated since the middle
of last year. I think that they've forgotten about it...
