Hello group,

I have a question regarding the cooperation with IIS.
If I want to deploy the sales application demo and use IIS as web server
instead of EAServer what steps do I need to follow? As I can see right now
when I try to load the demo app, it makes requests through the iiop port of
EAServer....

Regards
Dimitris Karistinos

Hi Dimitris,

We suspect that the problem is probably caused by incorrect Web Server (IIS
Server) settings configured in Appeon Developer. You can verify the server
name/IP, port number, or Web root path using instructions in the attached.
Make sure that the Web root path is pointed to the IIS Web root.

If the problem persists, we need more information for analysis:
1) Did you deploy the application in Pure-JavaScript or with Appeon
Xcelerator?
2) Did you transfer Web files from Appeon Developer to Appeon Server in
Local File Transfer mode or FTP File Transfer mode?
3) Did you set up the IIS Web Server by following the instructions in the
Appeon Installation Guide?
4) What are the Web Server (IIS Server) settings in Appeon Developer: the
server name, port and Web root path, FTP server, and FTP port?

Regards,
Julie

Hello Julie,

I havent installed anything yet regarding IIS. I just installed Appeon and
run the example using EAServer as webserver.

We are trying to setup the demo application so that our customers can see
the sales application demo through our corporate site.

What I tried to do is through a router to re-direct the calls to a specific
address, to EAServer in order to load the demo application. It seems that
there are some problems and it does not work, so I am looking onto info
about what to do in order to use directly IIS as Webserver for the Appeon
Application

Regards
Dimitris Karistinos

Hi Dimitris,

To use IIS server as Appeon Web Server, you need configure the redirector,
and
1) Install Appeon Server Web Component to IIS Server
2) Configure IIS Server as Appeon Web Server
3) Configure Appeon Developer and deploy the application to IIS Web Server

The attached provides detailed instructions for all the necessary
configurations. Please use it to configure IIS as Web Server for the Appeon
applications.

Regards,
Julie
