Hi, currently I believe we are running Pylon version 5.5
and we have support for this product. How do we go about
upgrading to 6.1? Do I need to do anything special on the
server and clients after the upgrade, for example,
reinstalling the client on the mobile devices? Thanks.

Just so you know...

On to your question...

First, version 6.2 is out and a minor patch for that is available as well.

I can't remember the exact documents you need to read (I am at home), but
they are included in the v6.2 ZIP. The hardest part (not that difficult at
all) is upgrading the database, the rest of the server upgrade is easy.

We had v5.5 clients connecting to v6.1 server, but I upgraded them since I
wanted our users to have the latest client on their systems. I am sure there
are actual real reasons to do this as well; changes to the security system,
compatibility issues on client etc.

Also, you can use Exchange 2003 System Management Tools now, instead of
having Outlook on the server. This is documented as well, pretty simple
(assuming you have Exchange backend and the Exchange server CD).
