When I set up my DB Profiles in the Appeon Developer Configuration, how come
I cannot setup more than one database on the same Sybase ASE 12.x DBMS? I
have multiple ODBC connections setup for each of the databases I will be
connecting to. I receive a messagebox indicating "The database type you
selected has already existed. Please select another database type".

Thank you

Chuck

Hi Chuck,

If all the databases are Sybase ASE 12.x, you only need to configure one DB profile.  It does not matter which physical database the DB profile connects to.  What matters is that the DB profile connects to an ODBC source of Sybase ASE 12.x type!  The purpose of the DB profile is to enable Appeon Developer to apply the database driver of the correct type for generating correct database syntax for PowerBuilder SQL statements.  It does not connect to the actual database.

Regards,
Julie

Thanks Julie.  This was not real obvious but your explanation makes sense.
