Hi Everyone,

I downloaded the pocket pc emulator 4.2.0.20 on my win XP pro box, and got
it to active sync with desktop. But I am having problems with syncing
m-business client for pocketpc on the emulator.

I get this error message every time I try to install m-business client 5.7
on my emulator, "The application is not supported for this type of device".
Is this because of the fact that the pocket pc m-business client runs
specifically on devices with ARM, MIPS and SH3 processors and the emulator
is actually running on i486 processor.

Is there any way around this, or does this mean that I just cannot test
m-business client on the emulator.

Thanks,
Sandeep

The M-Business client is built for the specific platform (ARM, MIPS,
SH3). The PPC emulator only supports x86. Since there isn't an x86
build of the PPC M-Business client, you can't run it in the emulator.

Visual Studio 2005 will let you run an ARM version of the PPC emulator which
you should be able to run our client on.
