Hello,

in the eshop I see a "SQL Anywhere Desktop Runtime Edition", for windows
V9.0.2

(It has an invalid link to the details, so no details.)

http://eshop.sybase.com/eshop/buy_detail?id=74940_0_0

What is covered by this license and how much does it costs ?

André

Thank you for reporting this. I have forwarded it on to our web
marketing team. Hopefully this will be resolved shortly.

For licensing questions, you are best off talking with an iAnywhere
sales rep:

Hope this helps,

See http://download.sybase.com/pdfdocs/awg0900e/rdrten9.pdf

The license allows unlimited deployment of the runtime engine components
(the document covers those componenents).

Thanks a lot.

The restriction to not have stored procedures and triggers
makes it unusable for our environment.
I wonder if the no jConnect access also means no jdbc access
via the iAnywhere jdbc driver.

No it does not. The limitation on the runtime engine is that it does
not support "Open Client" or TDS communications on which jConnect
relies. The iAnywhere JDBC driver uses ODBC to communicate so it would
work just fine.
