I am running PB 8.0 with EAServer 5.0 and Appeon 2.8 Enterprise. My
application is 3-tier with the client deployed to Appeon. It works fine when I
run it in PB. Unfortunately it fails when run in Appeon. I think the statement
TRY.. CATCH.. END TRY is not supported in Appeon 2.8 yet. However, i would like
if somebody can help me solve this problem. Here is the statement:

ll_result = ln_connect.Lookup (ldapHome, "myLDAP/LDAPCaller", +&
"at.bhitcon.ldap.LDAPCallerHome")
try
ldapBean = ldapHome.Create()
catch (ctscomponents_createexception ex)
MessageBox("","Exception :(")
end try

thanks..

Our recommendation for you is to package the statement in a NVO, and deploy
the NVO to the server. This is an easy and standard way to work around
Appeon-unsupported features. For details on how to package unsupported
features in a server NVO, and on the steps you should take to make the
server NVO be successfully used, refer to section 5.2: Distributed desktop
applications in the Appeon Migration Guide.

Julie
