In your querymode workaround on the appeon workaround website
(http://www.appeon.net/downloads/WebHelp/workarounds.htm), it indicates "The
processes to work around QueryMode can be summarized in the following three
steps:", what is the 3rd step?

Thanks

Chuck

P.S. I realize querymode will work in 3.0 but can't wait for it right now...

Hi Chuck,

The second workaround should only have two steps, not three steps. I will
correct the description very soon.

Regards,
Julie

We solved the query mode issue by passing the dw to easerver.

If was simple.

We placed the dw on our screen. Inserted a blank row. What the code did,
from PFC, was to put the criteria window into querymode, grab the sql (which
was generated by the query mode) and replace it on a second DW and retrieve
the second dw.

To solve this with Appeon, we simply passed the two dw out to EAServer
remote component and had it run the logic. Example. Two DW on the screen,
insert a blank row into the top dw, user inputs search criteria, and click a
search button, We issue a getfullstate and pass the dw out to EAS component,
the component ran the same logic it did in the old system and returned the
retrieve dw.

It's actually easy to code (assuming you know how to call EAS from PB). To
pass dw to easerver we use a little framework we created called remote link.
This allows you to easily pass and return multiple dw to eas.
