Hello to all.
I need the password of the appeon db. If my hunch is correct, the dwsyntax of
the datawindow is saved to this database for caching purposes. Just like in
PowerBuilder WebFramework.
If that is so then I can deploy dummy datawindows with the application then
upload the correct ones to the database. This will greatly reduce the size of
the application I need to deploy.
Hope that you can provide it as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance,
Terence

How are you doing this? We do something very similar but we are using remote
components. So we have a client application that is deployed to Appeon. This
applications makes calls to our remote NVO in EAServer. We don't want to
publish every remote component to Appeon. To get around this issue, we
simply deploy the datawindows to Appeon. Appeon when calling the remote
component will find our dataobjects via the application object name. This
makes it so I can deploy my C/S application to Appeon, deploy my NVO's to
EAServer and deploy our dataobjects to appeon. Now I can make changes to
NVO's and quickly change business rules, or I can change dataobject quickly
and easily change look and feel. I can also deploy the main client much
faster.

This works really well. The only think I have not tested yet is the way DDDW
are handled. Currently the dddw must be deployed with the client application
to Appeon. It appears the DDDW data object is not in the full state.

What I will test is how is performance if we never retrieve DDDW and simply
use shared data for all dddw. Just not sure if it will work to have no
dataobjects on the client. If anyone is interested I will post my findings
soon.

Please disregard my previous e-mail. I already figured out how datawindows are
deployed.
Thanks.

Hi Terrence,

The appeondb userid and password are documented inside the Appeon
Troubleshooting Guide that can be found at the following link:
