I print a report document to pdf and I choose a paper size with A3.
But It seems not work well and the pdf paper size is still A4.
How should I solve this problem?

Thanks,

Hi Jason,

Which deployment method are you using, Pure-JavaScript or Appeon Xcelerator?

If yuo are using Pure-JavaScript deployment, the PDF printing must be server-side printing, i.e. the printing job is done by the PDFPrinter at the server side.

If you are using Appeon Xcelerator deployment, depending on the DataWindow style, the printing can be client-side printing or server-side printing.  Client-side printing is printing for Grid, Freeform and Tabular DataWindow, i.e. the printing job is done by the default printer at the client side.  Server-side printing is printing for the other styles of DataWindows, again, the printing job is done by the PDFPrinter at the server side.

For client printing:
1) Appeon supports using PrintSetup function for the user to specify the paper size.
2) The client printing mechanism is quite the same as that in PowerBuilder, and the printer used can be PDFPrinter or non-PDFPrinter.  If a paper size specified is not effective, you need to check whether the paper size is a supported paper type in the printer used.

For server-side printing:
1) When printing a DataWindow that is not of Grid, Freeform, or Tabular type, an Appeon-defined paper size dialog displays for the user to select a paper size.
2) Appeon PDFPrinter uses the printer driver "Apple Color Laserwriter 12/600" for printing.  If a paper size in the paper size dialog does not work, check whether the driver "Apple Color Laserwriter 12/600" supports the paper size.  If the driver does not support the required paper size, try to use a different driver for the printing purpose.

Regards,
Julie
