When I access database files (advantage local server) via a network drive
connected to a share with distributed file system I get error 5004 (also
with Data Architect 6.11.0.6).
Permissions:
Share: Everybody: Read/Write (no Full Control!)
Folders: Everybody: all without Full Control

When I give the user the permission Full Control to the database folder the
application works fine.
When I connect the network drive to a server with a 'normal' file system it
also works fine.

There are no blanks in the name of the server/share. I'm using ADS 6.11.

Thanks in Advance
Hans

Hans

Ensure that you are using UNC paths

We had a similar problem and found that this fixed the problems.

Cheers
