Hi..
I've put together the start of an application and toying
between ActiveX and pure Javascript. Looks like we'll go
Javascript as the company are getting stricter with
security.

I have an MDI with a menu..
File..
BillingWindow

When the Appeon application compiles and first runs, I can
click on the menu and choose "BillingWindow".. After that
(In Javascript) clicking on File does not show anything. I
therefore can't re-open the BillingWindow. It works fine in
ActiveX.

Is this a known problem or am I doing something obviously
wrong ??

Hi Andreas,

It happens in a few cases that if an application is deployed with both
Appeon Xcelerator and Pure-JavaScript, the application (Appeon
Xcelerator-deployed or Pure-JavaScript-deployed) does not run correctly. A
possible reason is that the information stored in Appeon Server for the two
deployments conflict with each other.

Since you have decided to use the Pure-JavaScript deployment, our suggestion
is to underplay the application deployed with Appeon Xcelerator. Take the
following steps:
1) Use the Undeploy tool in the Appeon Developer toolbar to undeploy the
application deployed with Appeon Xcelerator and Pure-JavaScript.
2) Deploy the application directly with Pure-JavaScript
3) Clear the IE temporary files
4) Run the application deployed with Pure-JavaScript and see whether the
error still exists.

If the error still exists, please send me the test case (you can send it to
my email address), or just past the script in the Open event of the
BillingWindow to me. We will study whether the error is due to some feature
that is unsupported by Pure-JavaScript but supported by Appeon Xcelerator.

Regards,
Julie
