Hi,

Can someone help me? I'm writing a VB App and that needs to maintain an
index file shared by an old DOS mfoxplus app. How can I do that ? How do I
get this idx file open as a default index? Thank you and I appreciate your
help!

regards,
Sam

I believe that you need to use a Data Dictionary. Adding DBF tables to
the dictionary will not affect the other apps.

Thank you for your reply!
I am using a Data Dictionary. I have added DBF tables to the Data Dictionary
but PLEASE show me how to add the idx files (index files) to the Data
Dictionary. so these idx files can be maintained by the Data Dictionary and
in the meantime can be shared by an OLD DOS mfoxplus app?

Sorry for the delay. Select the table in the dictionary manager and
expand the node to show the index node. Right-click the index node, and
select the "Add index" option.
