Hi

I have problems with printing the contents of RichTextEdit
control - the margins are different on different printers.
It is probable that real margins are the sum of margins that
are set in RTE and inside margins of printer. Is there any
way to ignore inside margins of a printer? I will be really
grateful for any help.

Thank you in advance.

Marta,

Does the RTE print as it shows in the Proview mode? Have you tried using
different printer drivers? Does this problem occur on all machines, or just
a few?

I haven't used the built-in PB RTE for a while due incompatibility with RTF
generated from a new version of Microsoft Word, but don't remember
encountering a print problem where margins were affected by the printer - I
used one from www.subsystems.com that worked well for what my client needed.

Sanjiv.

Sanjiv,

The problem occures just on some machines - this is the
worst. The problem is that the user wants to print the same
document defined in RTE control on different printers and in
some printers everything is fine and on the others the
margins are different. I do not know how does it looks on
the preview because I do not allowed the user to make
preview (this window is in English and I am making a Polish
versions of windows).

Any ideas how to solve this problem?

Regards,
Marta

Marta,

Have you verified whether the printer drivers on the various machines are
the same version? Sometimes strange printing problems are resolved by
installing the latest version of the printer driver on the client machine.

If that doesn't help, would it be possible to create a small sample app and
enable the RTE preview in it to test on different machines to see if you can
narrow down the problem machine configurations?

Sanjiv.
