I don't think so. edit style is a readonly property.

Sure you can. With dddw it is easier, you specify the name
of the dataobject and code/display columns.
With DDLB it is a bit more complicated since you have to
specify the code table for it.
Take a look at datawindow syntax utility for ideas ...

property that only exists for that style.

Very interesting. This does indeed work, while directly setting the edit.style
property results in a runtime error. Nice!

Are there any edit-style exclusive properties to allow you to set it back to
edit using the same technique?

Yes. You can change it to any edit style by setting the appropriate
attributes. I'm suprised we slipped this one past you Millard!

never needed it so far, we usually start from edit style
i'd have to do a compare between all the properties.. maybe you could
let us know? ;)
