hello,

i have a proble by using appeon! When i deploy Appeon in the Powerbuilder,
this error message will display!

Are you indeed using PowerBuilder 9.0.2 and EAServer 4.1? These
environments are not certified by Appeon. As I always insist, please make
sure you are using the certified softwares as documented in the Appeon
Installation Guide. It can help you avoid unnecessary errors.

Regarding the error you have seen, we suspect that it is because Appeon
Server is not configured correctly in Appeon Developer or Appeon Server is
not started properly. Before you deploy the application, verify that:
1) Upgrade EAServer from 4.1 to 5.0.
2) Testing the Appeon Server profile and Web Server profile is successful;
3) Appeon Server is started from Windows Start menu. No error thrown in the
Appeon Server console.

If the error still exists (even after you upgrade EAServer from 4.1 to 5.0),
please provide more information:
1) Your OS version and pack
2) Appeon for PowerBuilder version (you can get it from the support info in
Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs)
3) Test case and database for reproducing the error. You can try to deploy
one of the Appeon demos to see whether the error exists. If so, just inform
me that even demo app cannot be deployed.
4) Log files (with the log mode in AEM set to Debug): jaguar.log at
%JAGUAR%\bin\ and log files in %JAGUAR%\bin\appeonlog.

Hallo Julie,

i can install the developer and the EAServer, but i cant start the EAServer!
Error message at the end!

so i use a EAServer in the network, its 5.1.0 i have started him and he run,
i test it in Powerbuilder and it run, PB-Appeon Plugin can find the
EAServer, wonderful. I start the Apache, he find it, wonderful.

i start deploying, and the error message displays again.

Did i configure the "extern" EAServer? must i add a new application?

i tried it with demo application, but the error occurred.

Appeon Version 2.8.3304.02
OS Windows 2000 5.00.2195 SP4
Powerbuilder 9.02 7661
EAServer 5.1.0 51016

appeon 2.8 doesn't support EAServer 5.1
downgrade to 5.0 or if you can provide the error message
that the easerver is giving you, somebody may be able to
help you correct it.

Appeon 2.8 supports EAServer 5.0 not 5.1.

Appeon 3.0 (which is available as of June 4, 2005) supports the latest
EAServer release, EAServer 5.2

hello,

the problem with EAserver is agreed. i can now deploy my Application without
a Error! But when i will run the Application, i cant see it, the Browser
start, but then blank window or cant page found.

What is the problem?

The demo application is running in Browser

from the powerbuilder ide, click on the blue butterfly of
the appeon developer toolbar

this will launch AEM, login as admin, pwd is also admin,

click on the application configuration, then click on
transaction objects

point your application to use the correct easerver
connection cache, this is assuming you have created a
connection cache to which your application will connect.

I suggest you download the Appeon Migration Tutorial from
http://www.appeon.net/support/manuals/. This document gives you very
detailed instructions on how to configure application and transaction
object. It walks you through the process of migrating a small application
with Appeon and making sure it runs on the Web.

hello,

thanks for ur help, i have noe EAServer 5.0.0 and it works local. i have
successful deployed the demo Apllication, but my Application deployed it
successful too, but when i will start it, there is only a blank screen. no
Application, have i done any mistakes?

what ist the problem?
