Hi everybody !!
I'm reading ase replicator user's guide and see that is possible to have
bidirectonal replication beetwen 2 databases with store procedures.
However I didn't see any instructions on how do that. Is there someone
that do this an can share yours scripts or point me to some manual to do
that.
Thanks, Alexandre.

Hi Alexandre,
you can refer to the ASE Replicator User's Guide:
1. Chapter 3("Administering ASE Replicator") on how to create a database
connection(page 37-38).
2. Chapter 5("Troubleshooting ASE Replicator"),page 139-140.
Thanks,
Victoria.

Thanks for reply Victoria !!
The ASE Replicator User's Guide only refers to an replication like:

Primary DB ==> Secundary DB

and mention a bidirection possibility, but don't explain how to do this.

I think that I can do something like this:

Primary DB <==> Secundary DB
(secundary DB) ( primary DB)

Primary db ( and secundary) syncing with secundary db ( and primary)

but how to prevent loopping when I update some data on any of database ?

Thanks, Alexandre.

Hi Alexander,
ASE Replicator uses the maintenance user logic to apply replicated
transactions to a replicate
database. ASE Replicator filters out all transactions made by the maintenance
user in a primary
database. In other words, these transactions are not replicated. That prevents
an infinite loop from
happening.

Thanks,
Victoria.

Correction: "maintenance user login", not "maintenance user logic".
