When Appeon first came out there was apparantly no possible
conversion of the PFC. Has this now been sorted in 2.8 or
3.0?

Hi David,

Appeon has been supporting PFC for a very long time (ever since the release of Appeon 2.7).  The solution is, an Appeon-compliant Framework (ACF) is provided for converting PowerBuilder PFC applications or developing PFC applications.  ACF is essentially the PFC 8 framework with all unsupported features removed or reworked.  After you replace the PFC framework with ACF, you only need to make minor changes to get the application run in PowerBuilder (making sure the full build is successful), and can convert the application to the Web as converting a non-PFC application.

There have been so many enhancements and newly-added important features that I can hardly give a summary in this one post.  If you want to be updated to Appeon 2.8 and 3.0, please find Appeon 2.8 and 3.0 documents at
http://www.appeon.net/support/manuals/.

And you can play with most of the Appeon 3.0 GUI features on the Appeon Code Examples AX application of the TrySybase website at:
http://www.try.sybase.com/tryonline/products.jsp or http://www.try.sybase.com/

Regards,
Julie
