Ever since 3131 - I cannot exit my Sybase Central without it locking up.

The only thing that has changed on my system is JAVA was updated as well
when this started happening.

This is a BRAND NEW DELL MACHINE - only 2 weeks old.

Is this a known issue before I go through Sybase support.

Fixed.

I uninstalled JAVA 1.5.0 - and went back to 1.4.2 - now it works just fine.

Where did you install Java 1.5.0? Sybase Central uses its own JRE located in
the shared directory so provided it was not installed there I would not
expect any conflict.

Well, I thought that would fix it.

And it did not.

It's frozen up on me again today.

Now what do I do? I'm looking at a frozen Sybase Central screen. It
always happens when I try and exit out.

Robert:
Can u pls chck which are the java plug-ins installed on ur machine? Most
likely you still have more than one plug-in on ur machine.
Generally this can be found down in the sys tray or control panel.
Sybase uses its own JRE so most likely may not get effected by the java
installations or jre outside the scope of sybase environment.
Hope it helps.

Regds,
Manoj.
