Hi all,

I would you like to you if using Appeon like
dw1.settransobject(sqlca) - Appeon will generate tranid1
dw2.settransobject(sqlca) - Appeon will generate tranid2

But, in web application, will tranid1 share with other users when they also
call dw1.settransobject(sqlca)?
If yes, when user 2 commit, will it also commit the transaction of user 1?

one more thing, if call store procedure or trigger in pb function, how will
Appeon control transaction id?
If there is one autocommit = true statement, will it also set all
transaction to auto commit?

Thanks
Eric

Eric,

If dw2.settransobject(sqlca) is executed before the
dw1.settransobject(sqlca) is commited, the two DW will share the same
transaction ID instead of having two transaction IDs.

If two users are calling dw1.settransobject(sqlca), because they belong to
different sessions, they will not share the same transaction ID.

Appeon controls transaction ID in the same way as PB controls connection of
a transaction to the database. Once a connection is started, a transaction
ID is created. When a connection is stopped, the ID is destroyed. Because
we support AutoCommit parameter, if a transaction is set to
AutoCommit-enabled, the relevant transaction ID is destroyed as soon as the
transaction is auto committed.

Regards,
Julie
