Hi,

I recently downloaded the Adaptive Server Anywhere version
9.0.2.2451 (developer edittion). When tried to connect the
sample
database (asademo.db) from embedd visual basic 3.0
application meant for Pocket PC it is giving the error
message as "ADO
Couldnot find the specified Provider". The code is as given
below.
Please note that if comment the provider line it gives the
error
message as "Database '\ASA 9.0 Sample' does not exist.
If I modify the ConnectionString to "Data
Source=\asademo.db"
it gives the error message as "The specified table does not
exist".

Please help me in sorting out this problem.

Thanks in advance

Ramnath

Take a look at the example ADOCE application that ships with SQLAnywhere
9.x:

%ASANY9%\Samples\ASA\ce_adoce_sample

In particular, see "Function ConnectToSybaseDatabase(DSNname)"

Hope this helps,

Hi Greg

Thanks for your response. Could you please send me the
sample
code as the same is not available in my SQL Anywhere samples
folder.

Thanks,
Ramnath

Hi Greg

Thanks a lot, I got the sample and modified the code
accordingly.
It is now working perfectly.

Thanks once again.
