Hi,

this is very urgent, i hope u condier this...

thnaks in advance...

My PB applications uses Native connection to Oracle 9i.
Since appeon only supports ODBC( tell me this is correct or
not?) i created a Oracle ODBC connection and after that i
deployed my application into web..then i refered the 'appeon
migration guide' to setup an EAServer Oracle connection
cache. i did exactly as it described..but when i am pinging
the connection cache, i am getting this error:

'ping of did3_conn_cash failed:
Main exception : Error : Connection cache for server
jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.10.1.58:1521:Dev90 does not exist'

i put the following details in the connection cache

Server name : jdbc:oracle:thin:@10.10.1.58:1521:Dev90
user id : 'test'
passwd : 'testpass'
JDBC driver class name : oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver

but it is failing.

what i have to do to get this corrected?
any other configuration need to be done?.
i used ODBC(for oracle) connection in my application. will
that be a problem?

please get me the steps, if i missed anything?.

thanking you

Mike

Appeon uses ODBC interface during the deployment of the application, and the
ODBC data source is configured in the Appeon Developer Configuration window;
Appeon uses JDBC for connecting the deployed application to the database;
and the JDBC connection is configured in EAServer connection cache.

The instructions on configuring Oracle connection cache are available in the
Appeon Migration Guide, and are quite detailed for you to get the connection
cache configured successfully. Please get the configuration instructions
from the Appeon Migration Guide (available at
http://www.appeon.net/support/manuals/).

Regards,
Julie
