I need to you use the T-SQL instruction OPENROWSET with the OLEDB for ADS
6.2.

I have no problem with other OLEDB Provider but with ADS nothing to do :-(

This is the instruction

SELECT * FROM OPENROWSET(
'Advantage OLE DB Provider',
'Data Source=\\SERVER_ADS\DATA;Initial
Catalog=MYDATA.ADD;ServerType=ADS_REMOTE_SERVER;TableType=ADS_CDX';'';'',
'SELECT * FROM MYTABLE' )

and that is the error

[OLE/DB provider returned message: Error 6420: The 'discovery' process for
the Advantage Database Server failed. Unable to connect to the Advantage
Database Server. axServerConnect AdsConnect]
[OLE/DB Provider 'Advantage OLE DB Provider' IDBInitialize::Initialize
returned 0x80004005: ]

Where is wrong?

Thanks in advance for the response
Simone

You'll probably need to add a reference to your ADS.INI file as described in
KB RefNo 020806-1486 on our developer zone (devzone.advantagedatabase.com)
