i succeded when i did with GPRS now i tried it wity WiFi and
it gave me: "communication error" i don't under stand the
immportance of the way that it's connected as long that you
connect to the net.

here is my code :
try
{
ConnDown.SyncParms.Stream = StreamType.TCPIP ;
ConnDown.SyncParms.StreamParms
"host=xxx.xx.xx.xx;port=2439";
ConnDown.SyncParms.Version = "test1";
ConnDown.SyncParms.UserName = "user";
ConnDown.SyncParms.Password = "abc1234";
ConnDown.SyncParms.SendDownloadAck = true;
ConnDown.Synchronize();
if (!ConnDown.SyncResult.UploadOK )
MessageBox.Show(ConnDown.SyncResult.StreamErrorSystem.ToString()
);
}
catch(SQLException err)
{
MessageBox.Show("err 10: " + err.Message );
}

You are correct, the SyncParms settings should be identical between the
GPRS and WiFi settings.

Now, generally GPRS is coming in from the internet and WiFi is already
behind the corporate firewall.

Did you try starting a ML server on your desktop to see if it can be
reached via WiFi?

You need to narrow things down a bit, and try different ML servers on
different parts of your network.

What kind of "ping" are you doing?

Is there by chance a firewall in place between the remote and the ML server?

G> What kind of "ping" are you doing?
i'm doing ping from opennetcf and it's give me success.

G> Is there by chance a firewall in place between the remote
G> and the ML server?
there is a router that it's FireWall is disabled.
all the ports are open in the router.
is there a specific port that the ppc is synchronizing from?
it's very frastrating that the ppc is connecting to the bet
but gives comunication error (-85) when trying to
synchronize.

have a nice day ,

Is the router doing network address translation (NAT)? If so, maybe the
ping is going to a different computer than the ML connection attempt.

Cheers,

Graham
