Hello, everybody.

I want to prevent a user creates personal channels from MB
Client. In order to do this, I go to MB Server / Server /
Preferences and choose the NO radio in the option "Allow
Personal Channels".

In MB Client, there is an option "Create personal channel".
When the mobile user creates a channel, it appears a message
telling that the channel will be shown in the next
sincronization. After sincronizing, the channel does'n
appear in the home of MB Client (right behavior). However,
if the user goes to "Channel Administration", the personal
channel appears in the list of channels and when I click in
the name of channel ... What a Surprise !!! all the content
of the channel has been sincronized.

How can I avoid this situation? I think despite of the user
can send the request of create a channel, if this is
disabled in the server, the content shouldn't be shown in
the PDA.

Thanks in advance.

AJD

I have tried it with M-Business Anywhere 5.7. b1015 Windows

I could not see the Personal Channel been created.

I did see on the client the message box you have mentioned "channel will be
shown in the next sincronization."

But the channel never made it.

I'm using MB Anywhere 5.7.4 for Linux.

It's true, the channel doesn't appear in the MB Client Home,
but if I go to the View menu / Channel Manager, I can see
the personal channel in the channel list, and if I click it,
I can see the content of the channel.
