Hi to all,
I would like to ask u if anyone has a simple PB app (or can give a hint on
how to build one) that compares the connection speed and the amount of data
(from - to) using mss,oledb,ado.net when connected to an Microsoft SQL
Server 2000.

The reason is that we migrate our PB app from MSS to OLEDB or ADO>NET
(unicode grrrrrrrr)

Sorry for my poor English.

I hope my request is not silly...(and I hope you could understand what I
mean)

Great question .. I would like to know the overhead of ODBC, OLE-DB and
ADO.net vs MSS as well. I have thought about that allow over the past year.
I think MS is imposing unnecessary overhead on the average application no
matter what development tool you use. They should of enhanced the DBLib.dll
(MSS) to support SQLServer2000/2005. I think that would have been extremely
easy to add support for a few new data types and long character columns.

The problem with moving off the native (MSS) driver is also the change to
the SQL - especially at run time. Each other driver type introduces DML
nuances which are hard to test for (thanks Bill)!
