Hi again,

We are also facing another problem where the MBusiness
client on the PDA seems to become corrupt (actually we have
a few other MBusiness problems too, but one thing at a time
:D ).

Referring to the previous problem (where we get a cached
error page), we are trying to resolve this by clearing the
cache on the server (using the admin client). This works
most of the time, but occasionally, it really messes things
up for the PDA. Every now and again after this the PDA can
not sync again until the MBusiness client is removed from
the PDA and re-installed.

Symptoms of the problem include;
- PDA saying "Sending data to the server" and the progress
bar jumps from between 100% and 53% constantly and it never
gets past this point.
- Entry in sync_access.log;
<device ip address> 5096 [09/Sep/2005:10:20:22 +0100] "POST
/sync/our.user HTTP/1.0" 200 1 767
(sometimes the last number here is not present and we just
get a minus sign like "-").

- Corresponding entry in sync_error.log (first line appears
sometimes, the second one always appears);
[Fri Sep 09 10:20:22 2005] [info] [client <device ip>]
connection to sync module established timed out
[Fri Sep 09 10:20:22 2005] [warn] (4748) Error 5482: Error
while reading from the device.

It is not always possible for people to get back to a
computer connected to a cradle and re-install the client
eassily and therefore the PDA is rendered useless for days
until they can get back and install the client again.

Has anyone seen this before. Is there an easier way to fix
this?

Thanks,
Chris M

P.S. I currently have a PDA in this state and don't want to
re-install the client until I know the underlying cause of
the corruption (if that's what it is). Let me know if there
is anything I should look at on the PDA that might indicate
the problem.
