Hi, there is the explanation:

I have migrated a few applications to web via appeon, so, to open it I use the
browser and put in the address, right!!! Like this:

http://localhost:9988/app1
http://localhost:9988/app2

Those are my applications, here is my problem, I want to build a new application
to join the other two, (app3) so I think in this new application, I put two
hyperlinks and deploy it, ready!!!
It works, the app1 and app2 opens in the browser, but I need, in any way to send
a parameter from app3 to app1 and app2. Is this possible in any way???

In app3 there are two fields where I put my name and some password, next I click
the link and the app1 opens in the same or another browser, don’t care, what I
really need is that, when app1 opens, use the name and password do I give in the
fields of the app3…

Have you understood my question??

Is this possible in any way, is there an “openwithparm” so work in appeon
xcelerator, because I think that in web, this is not possible, but you tell me,
you guys are appeon experts…

Thanks a lot
Sebastian Cubillo

Hi Sebastian,

Actually what you asked for is the single sign-on mechanism: after logging in app3, the user can directly open app1 or app2 without inputting account information.  Please find the method for doing this in Appeon at Appeon Workarounds Online (http://www.appeon.net/support/documents/workarounds.htm):

Advanced Workaround Techniques  >  How to log in the Web deployed application with single sign-on

Besides, you may also consider using Sybase Enterprise Portal and its single sign-on feature.  Please refer to section 3.4: Loading an application in Sybase Enterprise Portal in the Appeon Migration Guide for more details.

Regards, Julie
