Hi,

Will Appeon in future support any web browser other than
Microsoft Internet Explorer? Need to know since Mozilla
FireFox is fast catching up to be the browser of choice for
a lot of customers.

Appreciate a response.

TIA Amit Vidyasagar

Although we don't support Firefox today, we are constantly keeping an eye on browser market share trends and will add support if Firefox keeps gaining in popularity.

Julie

Hi Julie

Would like to know how much market share you think should be sufficient?

I don't know if this is the appropriate forum for this discussion, but
does it make much sense to have a thin client browser based application
that can only run on one operating system? Only supporting IE means
that customers with Linux or Unix Desktops can't access the application.

I have no problem with the developers having to use Windows, but surely
the application (as a web based app) needs to conform to a universal
browser standard, not some proprietary one? One of the reasons for
adopting a browser based system is to abstract GUI from the O/S.

Rudi
