What's the difference between:
Workspace,
Workspace MX and
Workspace TX.

I already have PowerDesigner Data Architect.
Is Workspace slated to replace PowerDesigner?

Hi Scott,

WorkSpace contains no modeling at all. WorkSpace MX includes what we are
calling "developer" modeling: Requirements Analysis, UML, XML, ILM
(replication modeling) and PDM. WorkSpace TX includes all of the modeling
features of PowerDesigner: what's in MX along with BPM and the conceptual
modeling. The Enterprise versions of MX and TX include the metadata
repository.

If you have PD Data Architect, and thinking of adding or moving to
WorkSpace, then the question you should have is this: what's more important,
UML or CDM? Data Architect does NOT include the UML, but does include the
CDM, and WorkSpace MX (the closest equivalent) is reversed. Of course, you
can always upgrade to TX and get everything!

I'd be happy to discuss specifics with you in more detail if you like.

regards,
Loren Corbridge
