Hi all,

I want to change jdbc driver, jconn3.jar for ASE 15.0.
But I didn't found where it is specified.
Sybase ASE Connection profile included workspace use jconn2.jar
and has the driver class with com.sybase.jdbc2.jdbc.SybDriver.

How can I change the value with com.sybase.jdbc3.jdbc.SybDriver for using
jconn3.jar?

thanks,
jseo

Hi,
You can go to Windows->Preferences->Sybase,Inc->Driver Definitions.
Select Sybase ASE default,and click Edit
Then you can update the driver.

Hope this answer your question

Regards

Jimmy

Hi jseo,
When does the error message pop up?
I could created new JDBC driver definition with jconn3.jar and connect
ASE15 with the definition.
The steps I did are:
1.Unzip jConnect-6_0.zip;
2.Set JDBC_HOME to the path of jConnect-6_0;
3.Go to Windows->Preferences->Sybase,Inc->Driver Definitions.
4.Click Add to create new JDBC driver definition.
5.Select "Sybase ASE",name it as "Syabse ASE 15"
6.Edit the definition, remove the default driver
7.Click Add jar/zip,locate the jconn3.jar
...
Does the above steps make sense for your problem?

Regards

Jimmy
