Hello. I am using the PB 9.01 DW ActiveX in my web-based
reporting application. It works wonderfully and has allowed
me to create a robust reporting tool quickly.

However! I've noticed that when users running XP SP2 access
my pages using a child IE process, the event handlers for
the activeX do not run. For example, I have code to handle
the mousemove, click, and ongraphcreate events, but these do
not fire when the page is open as described above.

Everything works fine when the pages are accessed from a
fresh IE process, but if a child IE process is launched -
the pages do not work.

When I say child process, I mean the user has opened a new
window, or clicked a link from another IE page, and a second
browser opens but the IE process is contained within the
original IE process.

ANY help from the powerbuilder team would be greatly
appreciated. If I need to upgrade, that's fine, but I need
a solution. I don't think there is anything wrong with my
code, and we've seemed to isolate this to the PB DW ActiveX.
The only alternative is to drop the PB active X, which I do
not want to do.

Thanks in advance.

I understand your frustration. But this is just a peer-to-peer forum,
and it would seem that none of your peers have encountered this problem
(including the TeamSybase members). It might be time to contact Sybase
directly.
