Greetings, I posted this on the Unwired Accelerator
newsgroup, but that doesn't seem to have many listeners. So
I hope It's alright to post it here as well, as it is Appeon
related...

I have a Power Builder application that was
deployed via Appeon 3.1 to my EAServer 5.3. I then deployed
it through Unwired Accelerator 7.0 as a .jsp application.
The application works fine until I use it to perform a
lookup on the backend ASE database. I get the following
error message:

"The user (jenksz) has no right to access the application
(license_inquiry)"

And the data is not displayed. I selected 'Add All' for
roles when I built the application in Unwired, so I don't
think it's a role issue. The user 'jenksz' has rights to the
database, so I don't think it's a database access issue, at
least not directly. The application works perfectly in a web
browser (outside of U.A.).

Has anyone else ran into this problem? Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Any advice at all with regard to Appeon
deployment in Unwired would also be helpful.

Thanks!

Hi Zack,

Have you gone through the following steps:
Task #1: Add the application into a portlet. Create an HTML element in the
portlet and assign the URL of the Appeon-deployed application to the HTML
element.
Task #2: Add the application into a page. Create a new page, add the
application into it, and approve the application.
Task #3: Add the page into a page group. Create a new page group and add
the page created in task #2 into the page group.
Task #4: Create accounts for viewing the application. Create accounts and
assign rights to the accounts for running the application.

If the configuration which integrate U.A. with Appeon Web application is no
problem and the problem is still there, please provide (with the AEM log
mode set to Debug) jaguar.log at %JAGUAR%\bin and log files at
%JAGUAR%\appeon\log. It would be helpful for us to further the analyze.

Regards
Sally Li

Thanks for the reply Sally,

Yes I have gone through the steps for adding a new portlet,
page, and page group. I have added all roles to the app. so
everyone should be able to access it. The application
displays fine on the user side, it's just not functioning
correctly. It works great outside of Unwired though, as a
stand-alone appeon application.

When I try to add the application as an HTML element, I
receive the following error: "Unknown error occurs when
loading application settings!" and after I click OK, all I
see is a blank page with a couple upside down question marks
in the top left corner. This is what lead me to try adding
it as a JSP element instead, which seemed to work fine until
I performed a database lookup with it on the user side,
that's when I got the permissions error.

Attached are my Jaguar and Appeon log files. Thanks for any
help you can provide!
