rte_us_text.Clear();
ll_RC = rte_us_text.PasteRtf( ref ls_Text );
***************************
ll_RC = -1 ............. and i don't know why?

addendum -->
the String in the command rte_us_text.PasteRTF( ls_Text ) - sometimes a
normal text-string, sometimes a rich text formatting - text...........i
think the rich text formated-text work's fine........

You already answered your question. If the string supplied
to PasteRTF command does NOT contain RTF fromatting it will
promptly fail, which is expected...

o.k. - how could i solve my problem: the user have a text-edit-column
(datawindow) so far, and i save the data in a long varchar; now it
should be a RTE-control for text-writing - and i have the old string's
from database, which i would load with pasteRTF to the rte-control.....

have anyone a clue for my problem?

Can you just use "paste" if it isn't in the RTF wrapper?
