What is the best method to transfer an Appeon 3.1
application from a development EAServer 5.3 to a production
server? Is redeployment my only option? I have tried a
direct transfer of files from/to the following directories @
EAServer base...

/html
/Repository/ConnCache
/Repository/Component
/Repository/IDL
/Repository/Package

I then refresh Jaguar and try to view the application in
I.E. and I just get a small box with a red X. The
application runs fine on the development side. I've checked
the appeon and jaguar log files but can't seem to locate the
problem. Am I missing a step or directory somewhere or is
this the wrong approach all together?

Thanks!

Hi  Zack,

The best method of transferring an Appeon Web application from one EAServer to another is using the package tool provided in Appeon Developer Toolbar.

Please refer to the Section 11: Packaging and Installing Web Applications in the Appeon Developer User Guide for detail information.

We never suggest customer to use the method you tried since it needs too much complex configuration work, and unpredictable errors may occur.

Regards

Sally Li
